IT Business Process Analyst

Devises and designs business process requirements for all IT-related business, financial and operations systems critical to core organizational functions. They must be able to put in place efficient communication between departments and people involved in the business. Documents the redesign of computer systems, applications and puts in place procedures so that informed analysis can be provided on business systems and applications. 
**Experience with IFS (Industrial and Financial Systems ERP) a huge plus**


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Others may be assigned.
  • Becomes an expert in Contec’s business processes and computer systems.
  • Analyzes, comprehends, and charts existing business processes for the development of procedures and models.
  • Provides expertise to bridge IT technical systems and applications and business requirements and translate the findings into functional specifications and solutions.
  • Meets with decision makers, systems owners and end users to define requirements and conduct a system analysis looking for solutions or gaps.
  • Develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging existing processes.
  • Prototypes new procedures.
  • Prepares and delivers reports, recommendation or alternatives across organization.
  • Prepares cost-benefit and ROI analyses to aid management in decision making.
  • Collaborates in the planning, development and deployment of new applications.
  • Develops, standardizes and maintains new or improved processes based on analyses.
  • Communicates process changes verbally and through written documentation.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction.
  • Develops budgets and timeframes for process change to support company objectives.
  • Liaises with various business units to facilitate implementation of processes.
  • Develops documentation of system’s and enterprise architecture.
  • Coordinates and perform in-depth tests and other post-implementation support.
  • Provides guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
  • Participates and works within ISO 9001-2015 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.


  • Competency with major ERP applications, IFS preferred experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) from four-year college or university in Software Development, Computer Engineering, Project Management related field; 3-to 5 years’ experience in technology development and deployment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with IFS (Industrial and Financial Systems) ERP software preferred or other ERP packages. Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, purchasing, distribution a must.
