Overview

The primary purpose of the Samples Technician position is to coordinate the production of samples and/or to produce samples of a prototype and of finished Contec products.  In addition, Samples Technicians provide documentation and supporting literature for samples and pull materials needed for trade.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets Development Sample Request Forms.
  • Obtains raw materials for the production of the samples.
  • Builds experimental products for R&D Associates and Product Managers.
  • Documents the quantity of materials used for inventory purposes through IFS.
  • Prints labels for samples.
  • Assembles samples utilizing standard and non-standard production equipment and processes.
  • Gathers samples for evaluation testing.
  • Works with Marketing Department to support trade shows and leads.
  • Follows safety protocols when dealing with chemicals, and understands SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
  • Supports Sales Team with extensive knowledge of finished products and manufacturing processes.
  • Participates and works within ISO 9001-2008 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.
  • Others may be assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years of manufacturing or customer related experience and/or training.
